KinTable Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using KinTable.

By creating an account or using KinTable, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use KinTable.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and BEST Labs LLC ("BEST Labs," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the KinTable app, you accept these Terms in full.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a KinTable account. KinTable is designed for adult household managers, parents, and guardians. It is not intended for independent use by children.

3. App License

Subject to these Terms, BEST Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use KinTable on devices you own or control, for personal household use. This license does not include any right to resell, redistribute, or use KinTable for commercial purposes.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized access.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

KinTable offers access to certain features through an auto-renewing subscription. The price and billing period are shown at the point of purchase in the app.

By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge and agree that:

Billing through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All payments are processed by Apple, not by BEST Labs.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Free trials. If a subscription includes a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Price changes. If we change subscription pricing, the new price will not take effect until your consent is obtained in accordance with App Store rules, and you may cancel before the change applies.
Refunds. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. BEST Labs generally cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through the App Store. Refund requests should be submitted to Apple.

6. User Content

You own the content you create in KinTable, including custom recipes, meal notes, and household preferences. By using KinTable, you grant BEST Labs LLC a limited license to store, process, sync, and display your content solely to provide and operate the KinTable service for you and your household. We do not claim ownership of your content.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Scrape, copy, harvest, or extract data, recipes, prompts, or content from KinTable
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access KinTable's source code, AI prompts, system behavior, or proprietary workflows
Clone, reproduce, or build a competing service using KinTable's content, design, prompts, meal generation workflows, or system behavior
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute KinTable or any portion of its content
Use KinTable to violate any law or the rights of others
Interfere with the security or performance of KinTable

8. AI-Generated Recipes

Meal plans and recipes in KinTable are generated by artificial intelligence. AI-generated content can contain errors, inaccuracies, or unsafe suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing all recipes before preparing them. See the Food Safety and Allergy Disclaimer below and the Safety & AI Disclaimers for important information.

9. Food Safety and Allergy Disclaimer

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

KinTable is a meal-planning tool and is not a substitute for professional food safety, nutrition, medical, or allergy advice.

Allergies. AI-generated recipes may fail to identify, may misidentify, or may omit allergens, and cannot account for cross-contamination during sourcing, manufacturing, or preparation. If you or anyone in your household has a food allergy, sensitivity, or other medical dietary need, you must independently verify every ingredient and product before purchasing or preparing it. Do not rely on KinTable to keep an allergic person safe.
Cooking temperatures and handling. You are responsible for cooking foods to safe internal temperatures and for following safe food-handling practices. Cooking times and temperatures suggested in the app are general guidance only and may be inaccurate.
Nutrition. Nutrition information is approximate and should not be relied upon for medical, clinical, or therapeutic purposes. Consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary advice.

You assume full responsibility for all decisions you make about purchasing, preparing, cooking, and serving food based on content in KinTable.

10. No Warranties

KINTABLE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR SAFETY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT. BEST LABS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT KINTABLE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BEST LABS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF KINTABLE, INCLUDING ANY HARM ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED RECIPES, FOOD PREPARATION DECISIONS, ALLERGEN EXPOSURE, OR RELIANCE ON NUTRITIONAL OR ALLERGY INFORMATION IN THE APP, EVEN IF BEST LABS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BEST LABS' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO KINTABLE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE KINTABLE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BEST Labs LLC and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of KinTable, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

13. Apple App Store: Additional Terms

These Terms are between you and BEST Labs LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). You acknowledge and agree that:

Apple is not responsible for KinTable or its content, and has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for KinTable.
Your license to use KinTable is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
In the event KinTable fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to KinTable.
BEST Labs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to KinTable, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual property infringement claims.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce these Terms against you.

14. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver

Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at the address in Section 19 and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.

Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and BEST Labs agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to KinTable or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.

Class-action waiver. You and BEST Labs agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this Section 14 by emailing us at the address in Section 19 within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to KinTable at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using KinTable and delete your account directly within the app at any time, or contact us for help doing so. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14, will survive.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of KinTable after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to Section 14, any dispute not subject to arbitration will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your state of residence.

18. Miscellaneous

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and BEST Labs regarding KinTable.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

19. Privacy Policy and Contact

Your use of KinTable is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available in the app under Profile > Legal & About, or on this site at the link above.
